sounds like bull... maybe when it's done you might sweat a bit, maybe it will draw minerals and water some excess salt, might clean your body from extra dead cells. you might lose a few pounds, but next day they'll be back...

This kind of weight loss is only water weight and not true weight loss. It is very temporary. It is something that people who can't stick to a diet or exercise look for. Nothing beats a diet and exercise.

I thought about doing the same thing. However, I was told by the spa I made reservations with you would have to keep it up because you gain the inches back you had lost. It is a great thing to do if you are going somewhere special. I am doing it before we go to Cancun.

Good Luck

Let me know how you make out.

I do not, but I'm waiting for the ebook that the owner of my favorite website will publish - soon, I hope. The address is
http://www.romancing-the-soap.com
I did not subscribe to the ezine (newsletter) simply because the website is owned by a medical practitioner. If anything, that would make me even more "careful" (I'm a nurse and naturally difficult to sway). I subscribed because I finally found someone who does give a hoot about consumers, someone who cares about all the downright lies we're told by those who try to sell us inferior products, etc. When I read www.romancing-the-soap.com the other day I found out that the ebook will also contain recipes for body wraps. Based on the quality of the entire site, I think I will finally buy an ebook with confidence (I've yet to buy ebooks, but I believe this one will be one of a kind!)

According to my doctor, there is exactly one and only ONE way to lose weight on a long term basis, eat less and exercise more. The fat on your body is like a bank account. If you deposit more than you withdraw, you gain. If you withdraw more than you deposit, you lose. Time to start counting calories, eat from a well balanced menu (consult a nutritionist, or a program like weight watchers or Jenny Craig) and exercise more. Then all you have to do is adjust the calories you eat to be less than what you burn and over time, done on a daily basis, you will slowly but surely lose weight, to the tune of 3500 calories per pound of body fat. You do the math. At first, your weight may not change much (or may even slightly go UP!) even though your calorie balance is negative, because you are shifting fat into muscle and muscle is more dense than fat, so your measurements may change while your weight stays pretty much the same for a while, but then, as your muscle mass levels off, you will start losing weight at a faster rate. Things like what you say, wraps, dietary supplement pills and the like are all temporary... if they do anything at all, that is. It never ceases to amaze me at how many people want that silver bullet to drop ten or twenty pounds overnight without having to do any real work to accomplish the goal...

I went to a Sybaritic Spa seminar and they recommended wrapping in cellophane. You can use saran wrap. Due to the width of the saran wrap, you can cut it in half to speed up the application.

Start at the ankles, wrapping around and working your way up. Overlap the wrap covering up the center of your previous wrap. Make sure the pressure of the wrap does not impede your circulation.

Check this link for more details on wrapping. I hope this helps.
